So, My hard drive is having a SMART error.  This means the drive is not long for this world.  Right now I’m trying to do a reset on Windows to see if I can get is stable enough to create install media. Once I create install media, I’ll swap the drive out for a new one I just received. Then I’ll install the new hard drive in the notebook and install windows onto the new drive.  This will give me a clean copy of windows to start with so that I can install only the things I want to have on it.  Maybe I’ll actually be able to get the streaming set up that I want.  I want to be able to stream to Facebook and Twitch at the same time.  Possibly even to youtube.   Then I’ll start streaming my WoW sessions and will have more of them.  It seems to have stalled shortly on 100%. I assume this is it doing final preparations for the reboot and reinstall.  I’ll let it go for a while as long as the progress indicator is still moving.  It should reboot automatically and do the reinstall.  We’ll see shortly if this will stabilize windows enough to proceed.  Maybe I should just use my wife’s system to create the install media.  That would have the benefit of saving time if the reset doesn’t work.  It has the downside of possibly getting the wrong version of windows 10 and taking the system away from my wife for a while.
